A Research project about deferred taxes, enrolled in "mainstream accounting", versus different accounting definitions, topics and trends
Abstract
Choosing a path to research certain aspects of accountancy does not imply denying the existence of other approaches to inquire, topics to work with, or definitions to delineate the field boundaries. The relevance of deferred taxes can be explored by weighing their impact on the stock price, a transcendent issue since relevant regulations could mitigate asymmetric information, and at the same time they could study whether such regulations were used to reinforce the dominance of certain companies to the detriment of the other market participants. Shedding light on both one phenomenon and another would allow us to act on reality with more consistent foundations.
